Why has Cognizin's Citicoline raised in price?

Will it also come back down to its normal price? Long ago I stopped ordering Citicoline from ND when they began offering the Cognizin brand since I assumed it was way more expensive for my budget (circa 2017-2018 when they did the change). However, a while ago I felt like giving it a try.
It was way better than the former one I could tell a slight difference, so since then I didn't mind the 8 dollars upmark. Now, however, last time I bought it was around March and I have just now realized they raised the price further by 3 dollars.
I still proceeded to pay the sale price this week, my concern is only on the long run. Will it stay high like this?

Would it be possible to make (and sell) another citicoline salt instead of sodium?

Yes, it's the sodium salt that the IND was filed for. We could do other salts.
