Random but relevant question; have you heard of people using Grapefruit Seed extract to kill parasites ?
There are many who claim it will kill pathogens that cause infectious disease, including viruses, fungi, bacteria and parasites
With your knowledge, do you believe this to be true?
I actually keep some on hand in the case of a parasite, but I always wondered if the claim is legit or not.

Yes, I have used it myself in the past. Some doctors say it is even more effective against Entamoeba histolytica than metronidazole. However, I am going to trust modern medicine most when shit gets serious. The drugs I am on/just finished have direct studies showing their efficacy. Until I see a double blinded placebo controlled study of GSE and Entamoeba histolytica, I have to go with the tried and true. I might add it in now that my course of metronidazole and nifuroxazide is done. However, I have a followup with a doctor tomorrow. I am going to discuss adding in a course of paramomycin first, because that has been proven to eliminate the amoeba in the small intestine, whereas metronidazole sometimes only eliminates it from the stomach.
