ND recommended products/brands when they don't make it?

Original post in this thread

If this breaks the rules, apologies and I will delete.

Unfortunately, ND doesn't make every single supplement in existence, which is understandable. When that happens, I have to go through the roulette and try to find a company that isn't a complete sham.

Has ND ever discussed or recommended secondary companies that they would trust for products that they do not produce?

Ideally, ND would produce everything that I need but that is not reality. Also, I understand if you do not wish to share. Love ND either way, buyer for life.

Not sure if you'd feel comfortable saying this, but when you say that these other brands failed your analytic tests, what exactly does this entail? Adulterated with other products, were less (or more) potent, heavy metal contamination...?

We don't usually test other company's products for adulterants or impurities. Generally we are assaying for label claims. This means things like does their milk thistle contain the amount of silymarins they claim? Spoiler alert, none of them do. Is there the amount of Magtein in the capsules they claim? Nope, there is not. Does their products contain the amount of bacopasides, ginseonsides, or withanolides that they claim? Nope. Is their Panax ginseng really the right species? Nope, it's American ginseng. That's generally what we are testing. Sometimes we will do heavy metals testing on specific ones, but most of the time we are assaying for content claims or IDing to see if they are even selling the correct species of plant. Doing a full panel for any adulterants or impurities is a lot more labor intensive, so we only do it in specific cases.

Magnesium supplement?

Magnesium glycinate tastes mildly sweet. I am not sure who would say it tastes bad. Bacopa tastes like tea. Things that really taste bad are stuff like shilajit and panax ginseng.

⚠️ NEW PRODUCT ALERT | High Potency Milk Thistle Capsules | 200mg of Silymarins from Silybum marianum ⚠️

Replying to iwantmyownname · If you mean percentage of silymarins, you get roughly 40% silymarins in the regular milk thistle powders, (4:1) which comes out at 100mg~ for a 250mg dose This gives double that 2

Also, keep in mind that every single other milk thistle product we tested on the market failed for label claims. They were all universally lower in silymarins than they claimed. Ours is 100% validated at 200mg/capsule wi

Anthocyanin-fucoidan nanocomplex

Replying to Warren_sl · If only ND had a Fucoidan product that activates SIRT6

There's a reason we don't, and it is not because we can't get fucoidan. I have beta tested multiple extracts before. I've even enjoyed some of them. My issue is with the lack of science on the analytical chemistry side.
