Warning to anybody who shops at ND - Even if you pay for premium shipping, you will be charged EXTRA money at customs for your shipment to get through the border.

This would be a good idea, but customs around the world are changing all the time. It's very hard to tell if you will be charged fees or not and everything is due to change so any info that is supplied can be incorrect.
I do feel sympathy for the man but sometimes random fees like that just do happen and you have to do your best to put some money aside to ensure you can still take care of yourself.
Perhaps a warning that fees may be charged by customs would be a good idea as a heads-up.

We do have that statement in both the terms and conditions and the shipping and returns page. The other issue is that it is luck of the draw. You could have 5 shipments to Canada and only 1 gets assessed duties. There's no real pattern to it, other than larger orders shipped privately tend to get stopped more than smaller orders standard mail. However, sometimes a small order is charged and a large one is not. It's really random.
