D3/K2 Tablets from NootropicsDepot. Too much vitamin d?

I recently wanted to purchase some D3/K2 tablets from ND when I realized that the tablets contain 5.000 IUs of vitamin D3 which seemed quite high to me.
It is much more than the daily recommended dose so I was wondering if there is a risk for vitamin d toxicity with daily prolonged use especially for someone who is already in the standard vitamin d range?
The science does not seem to agree on the optimal vitamin d levels in the human body and also the daily upper limit with vitamin d supplementation.
Maybe ND or someone with a lot of knowledge on vitamin D3 can shed some light on this matter?

Most people are not getting nearly enough vitamin D. 5,000iu is a really solid reasonable dose. Some people even need higher than that in northern latitudes in the winter. However, we made them in scored tablets so you can break them in half if you prefer a lower dose. I've never had a vitamin D supplement that I could break in half before, so I wanted to make it for convenience. You could get 2,500iu, 5,000iu, 7,500iu, or 10,000iu easily with these tablets. Pretty much every other product out there forces you to buy a different bottle with a different dose to get that kind of flexibility. You can do it all with one bottle just by breaking our tablets in half.
