FedEx issues in Arizona - Expect delays!

Just wanted to throw out a little warning for anyone ordering right now through FedEx. I ordered some stuff on the 19th and it's been updated 9 times. Every time they update it, it shows its still in Phoenix. Tomorrow will have been a week (using 2 day shipping).

After some digging I found out that they are at a near stand still in Arizona right now. Not sure why exactly but tons of delays. I am on the east coast so maybe other locations will have better luck with shipping times.
What they were answering

Ohh no, you got lucky. There are many people waiting 12 days or more, and their tracking ain't telling them shit. It's a big problem. Some tracking numbers show they were not even picked up from our facility, but they were. Some tracking numbers just say "Exception, no estimate at this time." Some have big red exclamation points for some reason. Others don't, but those packages went out on the same day and are likely sitting together. FedEx fucked up big time here. The main issue is that we were not properly alerted to the scope of the problem. Sure, we were told there was some weather that was causing delays, but we were not explained the severity and scope of the issue till a few days ago. If your main hub is down, and your backup hubs are down as well, and there is a possibility some customers will be waiting 8-12 days for their package, you need to make that DAMN CLEAR to me and my team. We knew there were going to be delays because of the storm, but nothing out of the normal. Storm delays happen every year. Breakdowns in the entire shipping network like this do not. Moreover, it was compounded by the decision from higher ups at FedEx to not process first-in-first-out. They decided to try and adversely affect less people, so packages we shipped on the 18th were getting delivered before the ones on the 13th. That's just batshit insane to me! I made that VERY clear to the exec at FedEx. It only makes sense if you are not the ones actually dealing with the customers. We are the ones that have to deal with it, though. 4,000 people having their package get an extra 1-2 day delay is much more preferable than 1,000 customers having their package delayed 12 days. Anyone that works in customer support would know that. To top it off, we sell health supplements... in a pandemic. These are not picture frames or running shoes. These are things people need in timely fashions. Allowing massive delays for packages shipped the week of the storm to prevent smaller delays for packages after that is just nuts.
