Does Longvida Curcumin Break a Fast?

Original post in this thread

McDuck89 · 11 points

My understanding is that curcumin with piperine does not break a fast, but Longvida has phospholipids and a fatty acid coating to increase bioavailability. Does this change the way your body reacts to it in regard to a fast? I would be taking it sometime in the morning and usually don’t start eating until 7PM or so.

Funny; I just have gotten back into Longvida for helping prevent brain inflammation, especially when not getting enough sleep (late nights working until 3am or so sometimes). Related question: is it helpful, or necessary, to take Longvida with food? I usually eat my last meal of the day at 7:30pm or so and try to fast thereafter until 1:30pm or so the next day. I sometimes will take Longvida at night (e.g., at midnight). Help to take it with food or is it irrelevant with the coating? At least one other vendor of a Longvida product says to take it with food.

No reason to take with food. The solid lipid curcumin particle that makes up Longvida is designed to absorb as a whole particle by itself. No need for food.

Replying to Socialfilterdvit · I still buy stuff from ND for sure but have been surprised at the quality of NOW, Drs. Best, and even CVS pharmacy. My stack has changed some but so far I like Now N.A.C., Dr. Best

Are you referring to the CVS Tumeric Curcumin that isn't actually curcumin? It's just tumeric, which is only ~3% curcumin by weight. https://www.cvs.com/shop/cvs-health-turmeric-capsules-500mg-60ct-prodid-1013104 That

It's my pleasure! I've definitely been pushing the same message for years. It's just many people are being misled by propaganda and faulty science, both on the Paul Stamets side and on the /r/MushroomSupplements side. Th

Cycling NMN

Replying to Fusion_Health · I’m not advocating a full gram, I personally take just 1 of your NMN tablets. That said I’ve tried up to 375 mg at one go, with and without resveratrol, and I’ve never noticed any

On its own, no. The energy I am feeling is more from the combo of NMN with CoQSol-CF, berberine, Longvida, and possibly zinc. 250 would be too much for me with my current stack. It likely would not on its own. The 375mg
