Tongkat Ali drowsiness/brain fog

So, I’ve tried both the 2% and 10% with similar results. Both result in drowsiness and hefty brain fog that lasts pretty much the entire day. I cannot take it in the evening either because it gives me insomnia and when I do fall asleep it’s not really good sleep and I wake up sleep deprived.
Does anyone know what causes this and/or have solution to counteract it?
UPDATE: I bought some iodine pills (225 mcg 150%) and have been taking them an hour before my regular 2% Tongkat. I don't experience brain fog or drowsiness anymore! Thanks for the great suggestion Nicholasjh

By reading up on the experiments, complaints people were making and I already knew iodide was needed for the thyroid (from prior research) which tong Kat does effect. Then the creatine was obvious as well from reading about the blood work results ... Though I did later see it as a suggested stack on nd. The good thing about iodide supplement ( just the normal amount) with it is that even if you over tax the thyroid the iodide protects it ( was looking at enlarged thyroid literature in case tong Kat caused a problem). Plus I was worried myself since I no longer use table salt so bought one after having started using the 2% and it did seem to help a lot. Actually now instead of getting winded on my long walks when going up hill I start breathing hard and get a burst of energy. Feels like in my early 20s (on the 10%)

Very interesting! I am going to talk it over with the team. If iodine is the missing link for some people, that would be an easy fix!
