Curious what your thoughts on herbal vs synthetic nootropics are, specifically with regards to potency and how that relates to learning, memory, and test taking ability. How do you view the more potent classic herbal nootropics such as bacopa, rhodiola, goth kola, lions mane 8:1 vs the different racetams, noopept, etc?
And if you were going shoot gun style studying everyday for an exam (~50/50 combo of memory/logic with quantitative bias) for 2 months or so and wanted to take the same stack (cost agnostic, 4-8 supplements) everyday (including exam day) what would yours look like?

I find that potent and properly-standardized extracts can be stronger than single synthetic compounds a lot of the time. This is due to the entourage effect, and a combination of actives in the extracts leading to more effects than a single compound could. It's hard to generalize, though. Some synthetics will be more potent than some extracts, and vice versa. I don't see why one would have to pick one or the other, though. A combo of both is usually better than a hard line approach with one or the other.
