Why is your Magtein so expensive?

Original post in this thread

I in general prefer to buy my supplements/nootropics from ND, but Magtein in particular is not just more expensive, but so much more expensive than other sources that I genuinely can't justify buying it from you guys. Is it an issue with suppliers?

Nootropics Depot: $0.44/capsule

Jarrow: $0.23/capsule

NOW: $0.26/capsule

That totally makes sense and is believable, but maybe a different angle you could take is just calling them out for their own pricing:

http://store.magceutics.com

They are selling it direct to consumers, in capsules, for $0.45 / gram.

Currently you guys are having to sell it for $0.50 / gram, for twice the amount, and even as powder, not capsules.

Feels like you guys are getting taken advantage of...

Hey, I was going through old posts tagging thing for our subreddit redesign, and just realized I never addressed this afterwards.

So we bought some of the Magtein from the Magceutics store. Sure enough, it's all under-dosed! It does not meet label claims. There is less in each capsule than they are claiming. We verified it all in our lab. So we are competing in a completely fraudulent market, it seems. Even the patent holder can't be trusted to do proper quality control... I am not sure how we can compete in a market like this, when we are the only one doing things correctly and following the rules. It's pretty fucking bullshit, and at some point I might have to get our lawyers involved. I prefer to avoid litigation if possible, but sometimes that is the only option left after a while.

ETA on when Lithium Threonate will come to fruition?! I am sooooo excited for this and have been checking the ETA’s daily, haha. The last update was 4 months ago. Thanks for all you guys do!

The manufacturer we were working with pulled out on the project, and the other labs we have gotten interested want crazy MOQs. We are still working on it, but it is hard to get manufacturers to take on projects right now
