Piracetam situation? (125g jars back in stock)

I just saw an email saying that piracetam powder is back in stock. Currently the 125g jars are up but not larger sizes. Another vendor got back in stock on piracetam powder on July 24. I'm not currently planning to restock on piracetam, I've got plenty (from a previous ND order). I'm just wondering what's the supply situation right now.

MrYouAreSoDumb: Living in Tijuana 17 years ago, Nootropic (UCB) was/is available OTC. 60 caps, 400 mg. In 1990 the price was about $3.30 USD. In 2000 same product was jacked up to $30-35 USD.
Doctors in Mexico never prescribed it. Interestingly, Nootropic also came as an oral, flavored syrup, including a box of 5 ampules, each containing 1g for IV use. 10 years ago Nootropic was manufactured by Glaxo, 800 mg. , 30 tabs, $50+ USD.
Mexico is still a great place to buy many products, however when one is used to buying kilos here in the US, is absurd act.
Plus, most all Mexican products price wise fluctuate like the stock market and covered with dust.

I bet one of the main manufacturers stopped making it, which made the economies of scale fall apart. It's much cheaper to make things thousands of kilos at a time. When that stops, the supply chain for all the raw materials stops as well. So restarting it all gets expensive.
It is funny about the fluctuating prices. Different markets are used to different things. I much prefer consistent and steady pricing to constantly fluctuating ones. However, some countries that's just part of the economy. The middle east is crazy like that as well. Plus, they try to negotiate the price AFTER delivery! It's insane to me, but normal over there.
