Hello,
I have just read a past reddit post ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/7adybb/psawarning\_concerning\_tongkat\_ali/) about tongkat ali experience with heavy metal toxicity. I have recently ordered World ABS Tongkat Ali 1:200, and I was wondering if it would be safe to consume?
From what I have heard, they are a company located in Swiss. They did list that their product is free of heavy metals: https://cdn.worldabs.com/assets/pdfs/tongkat-ali-cofa.pdf But I am not sure if this is true or not. From the limited reviews I have heard online, they do not have any problems with mercury.
World ABS does not source from Pasak Bumi Tongkat Ali (which I believe is the one the redditor took). Apparently, several resellers have noted that Pasak Bumi's quality has decreased notably, with false claims being made about the product. Pasak Bumi also adds fake ingredients to their products.
World ABS's Tongkat Ali is directed from Indonesia, not Malaysia. I have also heard that Indonesian Tongkat Ali is more likely to contain mer…

We have VERY tight heavy metals specs. We have the tightest heavy metals specs out of pretty much anyone out there. So much so that we have special batches of even patented products that the patent holders make just for us, because we will reject the normal batches. Every single batch of every single product gets tested for heavy metals. No exceptions. We catch a LOT of things with heavy metals in them. Sometimes it is lead. Sometimes it is mercury or cadmium. Sometimes it is arsenic. It depends on the specific plant and extract.
As for other company's products? I can't say. I can tell you I personally would not take anyone else's shit without testing it myself. We are constantly testing our competitors' products, and we have been finding more and more wrong with many of them. It's actually very concerning to me. We are finding way more wrong than even I expected. Also, heavy metals are usually an afterthought to most companies, not a primary focus. It's just another thing on the spec from their manufacturer that they glance over. We dive into the data on every single ingredient we use, and set our specs as tight as practically possible. We calculate daily intake amounts of what you will be consuming, and calculate our limits based on that. If you take a product at 100mg once a day, that's totally different than a product taken a 1g 3X per day. We consider that, but I see almost nobody else doing it.
