Am I reading this study right? 20mg per kg of body weight??

20mg/kg in RATS. 20x6/37 results in 3.24mg/kg in humans, roughly. That's 243mg for a 75kg human. Still big, but not grams. You have to account for allometric scaling. You also have to account for the fact that the study design was done in such a way to get significant results.

The Sprague-Dawley rats used in that study were bigger than normal, too. So the dosages are even lower if you account for that. My calculation assumes they are 150 grams. They say they were 200-250 grams in that study. So the dosage equivalent in humans is actually lower. If we account for that, it's more like 82-162mg for a 75kg human.
