Cordyceps smell?

Hi, so I not too long ago had purchased ND cordyceps capsules along with lions, and chaga, all has been really good but I noticed today after getting a smell of the open bottle of cordyceps it almost smelled as if it was rancid, maybe even, relatable to fish almost, I'm not sure if it always smelled like this, is this normal? Will I die if I keep taking it?

Nothing to worry about. Cordyceps has an odd smell. Chaga does, too. However, chaga is more woody. It grows on birch trees, after all.
