Phenibut shelf life in open container

So a few months ago, I bought 100g of phenibut from Nutrivitashop. 1 month in, the lid of my bag unfortunately ripped off, and because I'm way too lazy, I never bothered changing the phenibut to a sealed off bag. I didn't really notice anything special, until a few months later, when I was down to the last 10g of the bag. Suddenly, over the course of a few weeks, the effects that I got from phenibut started to degrade. I also have to mention that around the same period, I had a break from phenibut, but I had the feeling that the effects were already diminishing before that break. Eventually, 2 weeks after my break, I didn't notice any effect of phenibut anymore (even though I was taking 2g, while my normal dose is 1-1.5, 3-4 days per week).
A few days ago, I got a new batch of phenibut from the same vendor. I dosed 1g of this new batch, and the effects are completely back (even a little stronger). I also compared both batches and the old phenibut seems to be more crystalized and slightly less acidic compared to my new batch. Given this, I'm thinking that my old phenibut batch rapidly expired because it wasn't sealed off. I also live in a rather humid region, so this might also ha…

Nutrivitashop ain't testing shit. Who knows how pure it is. It's hard to speculate without any lab data. Phenibut is very stable. It will not degrade that quickly. Also, most people are not using scales! If you use scoops, you are getting wildly different amounts each time. If moisture gets into the phenibut, then each scoop is giving you less phenibut per mg, too. Then you have the wild tolerance phenibut gives in many users, and you have a recipe for all sorts of speculatory shit that goes on with it. Unless you FTIR, NMR, ICP-MS, and HPLC the batch, you cannot say for sure what is going on. Sometimes you find different salts left in the synth with phenibut, like phosphate, potassium, chloride, sulfate, etc. This is likely from the water source used in the synth. Those salts do NOT show up on FTIR, NMR, or HPLC. They are inorganic salts, so you can't see them unless you use inductive coupled plasma mass spectrometry. If you just HPLC and take area percent, you ain't seeing any of those impurities. That's what most of these shitty labs are doing, if they are even testing at all. This is why not just testing every batch is necessary, but using proper analytical chemistry, too. Nobody in this industry understands any of this, though. Nobody understands the limitations of the methodologies used for testing on these things. Nobody on this forum cares enough to pay more for things properly tested, either. Everyone here would rather save $5 and roll the dice than pay more for properly tested shit. So this forum will go on and on with speculation about why this batch felt different, or why this batch didn't work.
