Ideal stomach environment for MicroZinc?

Original post in this thread

Took it this morning on an empty stomach and I became nauseous 90 minutes later. I’ve had some super strange inconsistencies where I can take it and feel it within 20-30 minutes some times and then other times this happens. Would taking this product with a meal be more advisable? I’m taking it along with calcium for a (non-clinical) insufficiency of these nutrients, and IIRC zinc is a cofactor for calcium anyway, so maybe doing both of those on a meal would be ideal for maximizing absorption?

Advice appreciated

I take NOW’s coral calcium and dose right before or after large meals. And yes, oddly enough, the microzinc by itself caused stomach upset yesterday ~90min after dosing, on empty stomach. I’ve had it work very quickly in the evening, when my stomach is mostly but not completely empty. Maybe that has something to do with it? Is it possible that this one is more fat soluble than micromag despite using the glucose transporter? Because I noticed on a separate occasion as well - took it in the morning on empty stomach, waited 60min to eat, and only after I ate I noticed the effects. It’s like it just sits in the stomach doing nothing without food present. OR it could be a pH thing, and taking an antacid with it could remedy the situation?

It could be a food thing, but that is kind of strange. I've always taken it on an empty stomach, and I literally fast 22 hours a day. So there are LONG periods without any food, and I have not noticed any of those issues. You're actually the first person that has reported to me that they had stomach upset from Microzinc. Perhaps try taking it just before a meal. The meal afterwards might calm things down.
