When you see things like this, 99% of the time it is a sourcing or testing problem. Either we cannot source something that meets our specs, it keeps failing the analytical tests, or the testing methods are not working to our satisfaction. Sometimes it is a price problem. There are certain times when we just can't make the pricing work, and we think the people out there selling it are either selling fake stuff or just under-dosing. Then it turns into a project where we have to go out and buy everyone's stuff and run it through the lab to see what the deal is. I will circle back with the team on TUDCA. I do know that most people selling it are not properly labeling it as a sodium salt, which makes issues for dosing/testing. HPLC/UPLC assays don't see sodium, but they do see the lower assay in comparison to the reference standard. So sometimes it looks like something is failing on assay, but it's just that it was in salt form and not properly labeled.
