I struggle with night terrors, my sleep doctor told me that I get too less deep sleep and put me on Circadin (melatonin depot). The question is, can Sleep Support from ND help me (in theory)? I'm Not asking for professional advice here.

To make it clear I do not struggle with nightmares, I have night terrors, which is a sleep disorder.

Night terrors are basically nightmares that happen in non-REM sleep. That's an oversimplification, but basically nightmares happen in a lighter part of your sleep. So you usually wake up from them and can remember what was happening. Night terrors happen in deeper parts of your sleep, and you often will not wake up from them. If you do, you will often not remember what the dream was about. Things that can cause nightmares can also exacerbate night terrors. You just may not remember them like someone having nightmares.
One of my friends gets vivid nightmares when taking melatonin. He remembers all the dreams as well. On the other hand, my sister suffered from night terrors throughout her childhood. Melatonin would exacerbate her night terrors. She would get up in the night and run screaming through the house; sometimes running into the wall or a door. Most of the time she had no recollection of the dream at all, and would not even wake up from the night terror itself. That's because she was in a deeper part of her sleep cycle when it happened, rather than later in the night in REM sleep like people with nightmares.
