Alcohol defense to stop drinking?
Original post in this thread

From the description, it looks like dihydromyricetin in Alcohol Defense binds to gabaa receptors. Would this stack be useful to actually stop, or discourage habitual drinking if taken daily and not just to mitigate effects of acute drinking? I’m not battling crazy withdrawal or anything dangerous, just wondering if this would help behaviorally.
Thanks!

Absolutely. Both the dihydromyricetin and ginger both have evidence they reduce the reinforcing aspects of alcohol. Ginger does it through the 5-HT3 receptor. Dihydromyricetin seems to do it through the GABAa receptor. In fact, we had some people report a complete lack of interest in alcohol if they took it before drinking.
