Maybe the days before delivery should be included on the checkout page?

My recent order was meant to be urgent so I chose the USPS option which costs the most and is about four times the cost of the cheapest option which typically arrives in 3weeks.
It's been seven days today and it still hasn't even reached my country, I was expecting it to arrive in three days. Can more details about shipment be included in the check out page, like approximate day of arrival, insurance or not etc. What do you guys think?

I just recieved a message that there was an attempt to deliver the package today which is false because no one called me and my phone has been switched ON since morning. This is not your fault I believe because I have ordered severally from you guys and you delivered, But I should not pay that much amount and wait 2weeks and this should be resolved.

Did they get the package to you? Remember, USPS is only in the United States. It's your local postal system once it gets to your country. I am not really familiar with Nigeria, but it would not surprise me to hear they are not very good.
