Maybe the days before delivery should be included on the checkout page?

My recent order was meant to be urgent so I chose the USPS option which costs the most and is about four times the cost of the cheapest option which typically arrives in 3weeks.
It's been seven days today and it still hasn't even reached my country, I was expecting it to arrive in three days. Can more details about shipment be included in the check out page, like approximate day of arrival, insurance or not etc. What do you guys think?

I really understand your plight, you don't want your support to be flooded with emails asking why items have not arrived.
I've used DHL in the past and it was faster than this, in my naivety I thought that the more expensive, the faster it will get here. Someone even told me that USPS might not even deliver to my door, they might put it in the post office where I'll have to go pick it up. I paid so much for so little. Including that DHL is the best option for international shipments is the way to go. Thanks for you input, the last tracking information still shows that it is in New York but I guess I've learnt my lesson.

Well USPS only exists in the United States. That's our postal system. So when you use USPS internationally, they hand it off to your local postal system for delivery. They should absolutely deliver it to your door, though. They won't make you pick it up from the post office; especially for USPS Express. It's just not a USPS worker delivering it. It's someone that works for your country's postal system.
The same thing happens with DHL using our standard mail. DHL takes it in the US and hands if off to the local country's postal system. However, DHL Express takes it 100% of the way and delivers it to you. Any private carrier express option will stay fully private the whole way.
If you give me your order number I can look up to see what is going on. USPS Express has delivery guarantees. So if they took longer than that, we can get the money back for you.
