Has anyone tried Nootropics Depot Gotu Kola? Haven't seen any discussion on it. How does it compare to Ashwagandha for anxiety?

I find it to be more potent than ashwagandha. However, it can drag my energy down during the day if I mix it with other calming things. So now I use it before bed to improve sleep and wound healing. It's one I use every night now.

Gotu kola really needs to be enteric coated to work properly, as the asiaticoside and madecassoside will rapidly break down into asiatic acid and madecassic acid in the stomach. Both of those do have their own effects. So taking the powder or regular capsules will lead to effects. They just won't be the same effects as you see in studies assessing asiaticoside and madecassoside.
