Question about Terpene/Polyphenols testing

Hi, I have bought Lion's Mane in the past and I was wondering why the Terpene content isn't tested. Beta-Glucans are important, but they are likely secondary to the alkaloids in terms of importance for the effect profile of Lion's Mane. Can this be tested for? I understand other companies wanting to sell a lesser or shady product and not even test for B-Glucans, but now that Nammex is providing standardized B-Glucans every vendor that sources from Nammex is advertising B-Glucan content. Knowing the Terpene and the content of alkaloids unique to Lion's Mane would be more indicative of the quality of the extract.

But why the huge investment ?
Testing for terpenes / polyphenols as a group using HPLC and UV resp. is a pretty straightforward procedure that every analytical lab can do using globally accepted standards. Highly reliable labs such as Eurofins do that.
Testing in-house is not objective from the POV of a consumer.

Because I can, and because I only trust things that I can verify myself. I've had multiple very respected labs screw up, and we caught their screw-up. So we had to go back to the lab with our analysis of why we thought they screwed the test up, and get them to investigate and admit it. It's happened multiple times across multiple labs. It's just a fact of life. Everyone screws up, and nobody is going to care about the validity of our results more than I am. So I want to be able to control and oversee all aspects of what goes on at my company. This is why people trust me; because they know I care about this stuff, and they know I hold people accountable.
Getting a COA from a lab that says things are correct/pure is great and all, but that's just another layer of trust that needs to be extended to other parties with no skin in the game. If my company sells something that is not pure or correct, it's my ass that is responsible for it. So it's in my best interest to make absolutely damn sure I am 100% confident in things before they reach customers. Yes, most vendors are shady as shit, and don't care about these things. I do, and many people here realize that. So while you may not think it's objective from your point of view, I guarantee you I am putting more time, money, care, and effort into ensuring quality standards than someone doing it for me under contract. Moreover, vendors can just send a sample to a lab to get a result to show customers, then use a different cheaper batch in the actual production run. You have to just trust them that they are using the same batch in the production run that they sent into the lab, on top of trusting that the lab did not screw up the samples or methods. So if you are really honest with yourself, you are already just trusting people at their word. The veil of an "independent" lab result is just a nice way to make people think it is more reliable, but I know from experience that it is just another layer for something to go wrong. When I control and oversee things, I can ensure they are done right. Then if something does go wrong, I alone can take responsibility for it. That's what I like, and that's why people trust me.
On top of this, we want to do analytical methods and testing that other labs are not doing, or modify them in certain ways to see different compounds that are not industry standard. So having the ability to do that in-house allows us to do things not possible otherwise. Again, my curiosity also plays into this. Sometimes I want to quantify things in extracts purely for my own reasons. I cannot justify paying tens of thousands of dollars to contract an outside lab to create methods for me to do that. However, I can justify having my own lab spend some free time on it. Then perhaps I can learn something new, and then I can use that new information to create a business case around that new info.
