I recall there were some discussions about a month ago about how it got hung up in a lab-synth in China. Has the status changed at all?

Thats pretty spot on, a guy who isnt me may have wrote an essay and submitted my paper from his neuroscience class at university to show he is published and then wrote another essay explaining how his and his uni's labs desire to run h-nmr analysis's to practice and compare their results to the scientifically accepted molar masses etc.
MY friend got accepted haha. But yes they shut down after the government talked to them for a good bit, then decided to only ship domestically, then within the last six months they have just started shipping to the U.S. again , but only after the customer sends their ID, and other documents such as an "article" to verify they are just researchers.
I sound like I think its silly but I respect them for continuing to chug on despite pressure from the government.
Is Sigma Aldrich a big producer or precursors and stuff or something?

Sigma Aldrich is a massive chemical and biotech company that supply most of the reference standards out there. They were recently acquired by Merck for $17 billion. It's who we use for a lot of our reference standards and lab supplies. They only sell to valid labs, and their vetting process is pretty in-depth for approval; at least in comparison to RC sites. Haha
