Quick question about bitcoins after the big Coinbase mess

Original post in this thread

_Mr-Skeltal_ · 3 points

I was one of those that got my Coinbase account closed due to Ceretropic purchases. I successfully moved my bitcoins off Coinbase and into Mycelium. It was awesome, it took just 30 seconds to get the coins.

1. I want to find out whether it's safe to buy nootropics with this Mycelium account or if I should push them out to another wallet for doing any purchases. Are the feds going to come down on Mycelium too if I buy some piracetam with it?

2. Is there a good Bitcoin exchange you all recommend? Gemini looks nice but they want photo ID, SSN, and a bunch of information. Is this pretty much what I have to do if I'm funding from a US bank, or are there smarter ways to do this?

Thanks!

Is it prudent to send coins purchased via CB to a clearnet wallet. Send BTC from clearnet wallet #1 to tumbler and then to clearnet wallet #2 AND THEN finally to ceretropic? Or is this overkill.

Overkill now. Ceretropic uses a non-US BTC vendor that gives a different wallet address for each invoice. We also just changed Nootropics Depot to a similar solution as well. So getting flagged is not a big issue anymore. I'd still use an intermediate wallet to be safe, though.

How long will credit card processing be down for? I've heard it might be down for good. Is this true? And if it is, might we see the return of a number of products?

It might be down for good. I don't know for sure yet. I am working on it, though. We will not be adding any new products without reliable processing. Sad part is that we were about to start releasing some new compounds w

Replying to tidus_the_one · So this is a tested batch, pure and all? Been waiting for god knows how long for it to come back to ceretropic. Is there someone from staff who can confirm it? /u/MisterYouAreSoDum

Yes, I would never sell something that I was not sure was pure. I mean, we were literally out of stock for years. If it's in stock, it means we are sure. It took us a long time to finally get a pure batch again, but this

I know it might seem depressing, and I honestly felt that way for a long time as well. However, there is another way to look at this. We've accomplished some amazing things. We are light years ahead of where we were when

Circle Discontinues Bitcoin Support

So it looks like Circle just rage-quit Bitcoin today. They seem to be frustrated by the transaction limit issue the past year, and would prefer to move to their own proprietary blockchain currency called Spark. I think t
