It could be working in some manner, but we don't know exactly how. It still has the DGGL sequence in there. It just also has an alanine-glycine, too. We don't know what that will do, nor where the peptide with cleave. It would make a lot more sense to just make Ac-DGGL-NH2 if you were going to make fake P21. Then at least you are not throwing new amino acids into the equation.
