I've seen the criticisms of testosterone boosters, but I'm curious how and why this test boosting product on Amazon has such great reviews? Over 600 reviews and the average is 4.6 out of 5.

This is the product I'm referring to The reviews fly in the face of everything I've seen about testosterone boosters. Is it possible the majority are fake and we should flag amazon and perhaps get it pulled, or is the product actually effective?

FWIW, I've written many reviews for Bulk Supplements in exchange for free products. I don't inflate my opinion of their product. I just write a review. I generally like their products though, so I have given them a lot of good reviews. I note any product issues and deficiencies in my reviews.

True, there are honest reviewers like you. However, there are many many more that just do good reviews to get free shit, or whole companies dedicated to providing them for a fee. Many people have notes under their Amazon bio that say things like: "I aim to please with my reviews. If you have a suggestion on how I can improve my reviews, let me know." (i.e. Please let me know what to say when I review your product, so you'll keep giving me free shit.) The issue is that, even if you eliminated the fraud, it completely changes the optics and expectations of the market. You can't compete unless you incentivize reviews. It's not a level playing field, so consumers cannot reliably compare things. If a small vendor that makes great products does not give a bunch away for free, their ratings are going to look much different than a large vendor that dumps a shitload of money into building up reviews. So you as a consumer are misled about the quality of products by that alone.

Review sites need to be a level playing field, not just for the vendors, but for the trust of the consumers. It's the entire basis for having reviews. Skewing that balance by giving things away for free completely delegitimizes the entire system, and forces vendors to either play the same game, or lose entirely. If you are a vendor that starts late in the game, then you are almost forced to participate in fraud to even have a hope of catching up. Then it's a race to the bottom, and the consumer is the one that loses in the end. It's a perfect system for those with a lot of money and no morals/shame. You can make so much damn money on Amazon if you have enough capital and don't have issues looking yourself in the mirror at night.
