caffiene/nalt container dissolving?
Original post in this thread

It seems like the pastic ring that forms the base of the cap is turning into goo... presumably a couple of drops got on it and is acidic enough to dissolve this type of plastic. Any suggestions? also why use a type of plastic that can be degraded by the solvent or other ingredients? I don't think i'll be buying any more of this stuff.

The plastic does not dissolve. The Caffeine/NALT is just a super concentrated solution. So when it dries out, it creates a lot of residue. You can actually pull that little ring off. It's just there as a tamper-evident piece. It's not needed for storage. Then just use a damp towel to clean the threads, and make sure to keep the bottle sealed between uses.
