Is bacteriostatic water the best/safest for making nasal sprays of n-acetyl semax?

Hi, I recently tried ordering the freeze dried powdered n-acetyl semax rather than the premade nasal spray. I made the spray with the bacteriostatic water and used it at a dose of approx. 1mg. It is working very good, it seems to be more potent than when I had used the premade version in the past. I'm guessing it is because it's more stable and fresh doing it this way and then immediately storing it in the fridge right after making it.
But is bacteriostatic water the best way to go? It burns slightly and smells like plastic, presumably from the preservative, but I don't want microbes growing in it and all of that. So, is bacteriostatic water ok? Anything better?
Thanks, in advance, for any replies.

I would use the bacteriostatic sodium chloride next time. That is buffered to your body's natural salinity. So it will not dry out your nasal passages as much. It still has benzyl alcohol, but that is good to keep it sterile.
