Received order for Tianeptine Sodium and found awful nail polish-like taste!

Had to spit it out and email the vendor. First time I have ever had this issue with Tianeptine. Holding off on mentioning the vendor until I hear back from them, but they are new.
EDIT: No reason to downvote as this is pertaining to the entire community.
UPDATE: Looks like the vendor is aware that there is residual ethyl acetate in this batch that is obviously repulsive to anyone, but they claim it is at non-toxic levels. From now on, they state that they will perform "rotary evaporation" to get rid of the remaining ethyl acetate.

Just got a reply from vendor and this is what they had to say:
"I've been taking it everyday and it is pretty revolting. For now, I'll issue you a refund, and update you when we restock tianeptine sodium that does not have this defect.
Let me quote the email my partner sent out recently:
(Since this email was sent, we actually rotovap'd all of our tianeptine sodium in stock and removed the majority of the ethyl acetate, but there is still trace amounts remaining.)
----Copied Email----
We have been aware that a small amount of residual ethyl acetate is present in our most recent batch of Tianeptine sodium that you received.
The threshold of odor detection for ethyl acetate is less than 5 parts per million (ppm); hence, humans can smell and taste very small amounts of ethyl acetate.
The permitted daily exposure (PDE) for ethyl acetate is 117 mg/day. Ethyl acetate is a class 3 solvent, which is the solvent class with the lowest toxicity. Ethanol (alcohol) and acetone are also class 3 solvents.
At this time, all available evidence indicates that the amount of ethyl acetate present in the batch of Tianeptine sodium you received is not harmful. This is simply an aesthetic issue; residual ethyl acetate has an odious smell and taste, that is offensive to the consumer.
We have made an ongoing effort to subject all remaining Tianeptine sodium to rotary evaporatio…

That batch is 96.4% pure from the supplier. 1.65% of that is ethyl acetate, and the rest we cannot identify. Some of it is probably free acetone and ethanol. We did this all on our HPLC and FTIR.
Vendors need to reject shipments like that. Make the damn lab fix it, or they are going to think that is an acceptable thing for them to do again. I've rejected 40kg of Tianeptine Sodium in the past 2 months, from 4 separate suppliers. 20kg of it had the ethyl acetate. The other batches were something else. I made them fix it, and told them if they ever sent me something like that again, I would not use them in the future. It's not acceptable.
