Dendrite spine density, should it be higher or lower?

So, dendrite spine density refers to the number of dendrite spines in a given area. If there are more dendrites, or a higher density, than an increase is seen also in synapses and synapse related proteins. If there are less dendrites or a lower density than less synapses are formed.
For the sake of memory and learning which is better?
If there are more synapses than there is the possibility to make more memories but they could easily be destroyed. If there are fewer dendrites and synapses than it takes less energy to convey a message and make it a permanent strong memory with high LTP(long term potentiation). Is it better to have fewer strong connections or many weaker/normal connections?

Do I take meatloaf sublingually?
Thank you for the answer, I understand that a balance is necessary to maintain optimal health and memory, however I was unsure of how exactly compensation in the brain would result in better or worse memories. I appreciate your time and hope that you are able to help your Girlfriends grandfather. I have loved ones too that suffer from Alzheimer's and MS. I understood before how a persons brain could deteriorate but was completely unaware of how a person could cling to a specific set or single memory, I originally thought that every memory would be equally affected by Alzheimer's. My stepbrothers dad has severe Alzheimer's and dementia and will constantly recount tales of growing up on a farm in Iowa and spending his summers at a camp there.. But he has no clue who I am.

I think he is too far along. I also don't want to go too crazy, since I am not a doctor. At this stage, we would need to try and reduce Aβ, and try to get the brain to repair the damaged/destroyed dendrites. I would love to see how some of the newer more powerful neuropeptides, like NA-Semax Amidate and P21 affect him. However, getting a regular person to trust a sub-Q injection or nasal spray is hard enough, without them forgetting who you are.
