SEMAX, NA-SEMAX and NA-SEMAX-A cycling necessary?
Original post in this thread

Is it necessary to take breaks, or cycle on/off when dosing semax daily?
Taking a couple hundred mcg nasally, can NA-SEMAX be used long-term?
What are the implications for using it long-term? What systems are negatively affected?

I would say yes, breaks are good. I have probably taken more of those than anyone. I have used Semax (then NA-Semax and NA-Semax Amidate) twice daily for up to 4 months at a time without breaks. I stopped all Nootropic usage a couple weeks ago, to get back to baseline (Well ok, I took Cytisine today. I am just testing it!). It feels good to give my brain a rest, and let everything even out again. However, I have not found any adverse effects so far. Maybe a bit of depersonalization after while, but nothing bad. It just feels right to give it a rest every once in a while.
Unfortunately, I cannot answer with scientific evidence, as it just does not exist in any meaningful amounts. There is all sorts of speculation out there, with little reasoning behind it. I have read a lot. I can only give you anecdotes from me personally, and from what I have gathered from the thousands of people that I have sold to. However, I just hired someone that worked with a professor at ASU running the cognitive enhancement program. She is still in contact with him. I am going to try and meet with him, and see if we can run some studies on these neuropeptides. He started working with amino acids at first, and was moving into peptides when she left to do her masters. Hopefully we can get him interested, and get some scientific data out of it.
