Opioid/Former Opioid Users Weigh In: Did You Get Any Opioid-Like Withdrawal From Quitting SEMAX?

Original post in this thread

UPDATE: It would seem that it was an unhappy coincidence. I'm happy to chalk it up to that. Thanks to everyone that weighed in on the issue. I look forward to trying the drug in new combinations once school has again started.

I got off of SEMAX, and got mildly ill. My buddy went off SEMAX--much faster than I did; cold turkey, basically--and now he, too, is ill, only moreso.

I'm wondering if the enkephalin reuptake inhibition of SEMAX is causing more tolerance than was originally projected, and therefore also causing mild opioid withdrawal symptoms when administration is abruptly ended.

But, I have never engaged in opioids enough to understand what opioid withdrawal feels like. To those who have, and have also gone off of SEMAX, if you could please put in your two cents, it would be much appreciated.

And I don't really know: I haven't been seeing very many people complaining about SEMAX withdrawal. I'm not trying to make any chemicals look bad, but I'm being honest about my results from taking it, and was wondering if I could get to the bottom of how I felt after I stopped.

Again no interaction with Selenk on the above either and loperimide as well although that is not an opiate you feel brain wise.

On Kratom no idea tried it years ago and found it did precisely sod all even at high doses and these days just does not interest me.

Very interesting. I wonder what brain/body chemistry differences are causing your effects to be totally different?

My comment was more for everyone else reading. You have to remember that a lot of people come here who are just starting out, and might see kratom being mentioned on a nootropics subreddit, then automatically consider it

Nootropics to stop Kratom use

I find that tapering the dosage down over the course of two weeks, then using Semax, Selank, and Tianeptine during the transition, makes getting off it easy. I used kratom 2-3 times per day for almost a year, and got off

What exactly are Semax and Selank? What is their MOA for layman nootropic users?

Replying to question2552 · >Also, I have had many reports of people saying both Selank and Semax have interacted with other opioids they were on. interesting, mind if you sum up these interactions?

It seems to be people using kratom or other opioids for the euphoric aspects. A few reports claim that taking Selank or Semax, around the time of kratom or other opioids, reduces the subjective mood boost that they would

It seems like that is a common theme with GABAergics.

Semax, Selank, P21, and tianeptine were the ones I talked about in that old post. Nigella sativa can absolutely help as well. Agmatine sulfate, too.

It depends on the blood testing they ran. Did they do vitamin B12 and D levels? Did they check hormones, and total/free testosterone? There are so many types of blood testing you can add on. Then there is 23andMe testing
