I'm looking for an overall enhancement of my cognitive abilities. I would like to have a better short-term memory for manipulating the data at a certain point in time as this is a job-demand! Long-term memory enhancement to retain much of what I read, study and learn. More concentration and focus so I can flow into my tasks and books.
I tried Modafinil and I didn't like it, it makes my brain work like a monkey, concentrated, but hyperactive and chaotic like a monkey! I would like to have some of that, but maintain it under a state of relaxed focus. I would like to experience the states people keep describing when they are administering nootropics, the state in which "they can understand complex concepts at ease".
On a side note, I have like a dozen of technical books to read taht are related to my work (Computers/Programming), and I don't want to read them only, I want my brain to retain more of that information when I need them, and make more connections between the things I read and experience. In addition, I want to understand whatever complex concept I'm going to come across at more ease (compared to the time before I administer nootropics).
A general overview about myself, I eat healthy 3-4 meals a day. I exercise intensely 3 times a week. I sleep 7-8 hours daily. I train my brain everyday using Lumosity (10 minutes a day), and Dual N-Back (20 minutes a day). I meditate…

I get the modafinil feeling. Very dirty feeling to me. I actually prefer our Hydrafinil. There is less DAT affinities, so it is a lot smoother. It's a much less in-your-face kind of wakefulness.
Drop the choline bitartrate. It has horrible bioavailability. Use CDP choline or Alpha GPC instead.
Vinpocetine is ok. However, it really lowers my immune system. I do not use it for that reason.
DMAE is ok too. Centrophenoxine is better.
B12 is good. I would use a better sublingual version. Ours is methylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin.
The other B vitamins are good too.
L-phenylalanine is fine. You won't notice much.
Gingko works for some, and is not noticeable for others. I would not take it with vinpocetine. One cerebral vasodilator is enough.
Hup-A is not good for long term. It's okay every so often. However, inhibiting acetylcholine sterase should not be done too long.
