My experiences with high dose (100mg+) tianeptine over a two month period

I've been taking tianeptine for roughly three months. Initially I took to for depression and anxiety. I began with 12.5mg but quickly increased my dosage to 30mg 3-4x per day. It worked fairly well for a while but eventually it had no effect on my mood or anxiety when I took it, so I began to increase the dose.

The onset is very quick, at 30mg the effects of taking it were apparent within about 5-10minutes. I take powdered form (and I also tried the solution, but preferred powder since its cheaper).

The main effects were slowed speech, relaxation, anxiety would be less severe, brighter mood and a positive outlook.

My depression and anxiety got more severe due to things happening in my life that were/are hard to deal with. The tianeptine stopped working at 30mg and I began to increase the dose, each time it stopped working, I would increase the dose.

I am currently taking 130mg 4-5x per day which is very high, but it has no effect at lower doses. It has had no positive long term effect on my depression or anxiety over the long term and I have to use it in an acute way as chronic administration at lower doses does nothing for me.

The effects at this dose exactly the same as at…

Tianeptine is related to amineptine, which inhibits mitochondrial oxidation of fatty acids and can cause liver damage. Tianeptine is not as bad, but is also only meant to be taken at 12.5-25mg dosages, not 100-150mg dosages. Overdosing tianeptine is stupid. There are much better ways to achieve the same effects, without the risks. Tianeptine is fantastic, when used therapeutically. It's not when abused.

Reputable nootropics vendor with products that come with microscoops (or whatever they're called)?

I don't think anyone should include microscoops. It promotes the idea that volumetric dosing is accurate, which cannot be further from the case. A milligram scale is ALWAYS needed to accurately measure lower dosages. Not

Are high dosages of tianeptine harmful?

Replying to somebodybettercomes · That's kind of my point - it's a single patient. If tianeptine is genuinely "hard on the liver" it seems like there should be way more than just a handful of users with liver issue

If my imaginary friend was used to 12.5mg Tianeptine sodium three times per day, I would say try 40mg once per day. Basically, take the dosage for the sodium salt, multiply it by 3.3, then only dose once.
