Safe dose combo of Stimulants and Selegiline?

Is anyone here combining stimulants like Ritalin with selegiline?
I think its relatively safe if you keep the dosages low?
Eg: I suppose a dose of 2.5mg Ritalin taken three times daily wont be dangerous to take with say 2mg ORAL Selegiline dosed on alternate days?

Is that every day? My only experience is taking it daily to have sustained MAO-B inhibition but I know people taking it as a nootropic use a different dosing regime. It seems that there are some adverse effects with dopaminergics (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/14697898 is the first result though it is well-studied used concurrently with other antiparkinsonian drugs) but they seem to be dose-dependent, perhaps due to its catecholaminergic activity enhancing effect.

I know selegiline has been shown to protect from dopaminergic excitotoxicity.
[l-\(−\)-Desmethylselegiline, a Metabolite of Selegiline \[l-(−)-Deprenyl\], Protects Mesencephalic Dopamine Neurons from Excitotoxicity In Vitro](http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1046/j.1471-4159.1997.68010434.x/full)
I have not taken it, though. So I cannot comment on the subjective differences in effects, when combined with dopaminergic stimulants.
