Nootropic effects on migraines and/or headaches?

I am particularly interested in how nootropics have alleviated migraine frequency and/or severity. I have read a few posts of people using piracetam and attributing it to a diminution in migraines, but I'd like to know what others' experiences have been.
Thanks!

My neurologist prescribed it to me for migraines, yes. It's an off-label indication.
The first effects I got from memantine were terrible. While I didn't have any migraines, the first week I was on memantine I had the worst bout of brain fog I'd ever experienced. The best way to start memantine is to ease into it and they have titration packs specifically for this purpose but my pharmacy couldn't get any so I had to jump into 28mg/day.
After a week (about the time it takes for nAChR upregulation), I started getting nootropic effects like decreased clutter of my thoughts and enhanced focus and motivation. My tolerance to everything plummeted. These effects stuck around for about a month or two before disappearing entirely.
EDIT: Yes I also take piracetam, choline bitartrate, noopept, and semax regularly. I intermittently take huperzine A, adrafinil, phenylpiracetam, caffeine/theanine, and 2-FMA (a productivity enhancer, not really a nootropic).

Holy shit! You went right into 28mg/day!?! That had to have been a shitty week!
