It's just an area that is rapidly developing. Until the rise in analytical testing of strains, all we have to go on is subjective experience. Now we have numbers.
I'm convinced terpenes play a big roles, but the Feds have only recently expanded their cannabis grow to more than a single fairly weak strain. It will take awhile to get good science on strains.
Until then, Leafly and groups like that are trying to be more analytical about strains. With more information, and growing strain libraries, I'm so excited for the future.

It's definitely an exciting time. I want to start getting more into marijuana, now that we have a lot more interesting data to analyze.
