Does anyone else feel smarter on psychedelics?

Speaking usually feels more fluent, my vocabulary expands, and I'm a lot more verbose. Obviously this is a dose dependent thing and it depends on the drug you're using. On 3 hits of LSD I can have a conversation with someone and get my thoughts across very easily but if I was to take a couple more tabs I would probably get caught up in the person's accent or the surroundings and lose track of what we're talking about. I was just wondering if anyone else experiences this.

EDIT: Maybe smarter wasn't the best way to describe it. Pretty much what I'm getting at is that psychedelics make it a lot easier to get your thoughts across and help you understand things to higher degree. In my experience anyway.

This is just a theory that sparked from reading your comment, but do you think its plausible that the reason that it seems creative people or people who are less ego inclined tend to gravitate towards psychedelics more than say an alpha male or someone who knows exactly what they want, basically someone who is evolutionary "fit" and the for the former there are less barriers to break down leading them to an easier experience than the latter? Just a thought, not even sure it made sense tbh.

Perhaps those that are more alpha, or put more stake in their ego, are afraid of the loss of control that psychedelics can lead to. However, I think it is mostly curiosity that dictates whether or not people gravitate to the use of psychedelics. Curious people want to experience new things. Curiosity is generally not a good evolutionary trait, as it leads to situations where you are less likely to know how to get out of.
