Tianeptine dosing

What's the best way to dose tianeptine? I bought some bulk powder tianeptine sodium but I've realized that my scale is not accurate enough to measure 12.5mg at a time. I'm thinking about just scaling out 40mg (which my scale can do much more accurately) and dissolving it in a water bottle, sipping throughout the day. Thoughts?

Out of curiosity, how is it that you can stock memantine, as it is an RX drug in the US, unlike tianeptine, racetams, etc.?

It is unscheduled, and we are not selling it to treat a disease. If we marketed it for sale in the treatment of Alzheimer's, then we would need to be a pharmacy and require prescriptions.
