I don't think so - I'm a bit sporadic with dosing but usually about twice a week - 5mg (zinc sulfate) in a [cheap] multi-v and 2mg (zinc gluconate) in a Zinc Echinacea, Garlic, C.
I do have a pretty crappy diet so may have limited access to nutrients I don't supplement - copper, for example, is in the multi-v (1mg culpric sulfate monohydrate) I am currently supplementing but not in the "executive function" formulation I was using at the time of my bloodwork.

That amount should not cause any issues. You'd have to take a lot of it. Why not change your diet. Is it had to find good food for cheap where you are?
