RANT on "Should ALL drugs be legal?"

I am a firm believer that I have the right to put whatever chemical I want in my body (from a legal standpoint), and I am not alone in this mindset. This logical type of thinking brings a lot of us to the idea that all drugs should be legal and regulated. I used to agree with this for a long time until one day I was browsing the web and noticed that Scopolamine could be easily bought with a quick click and a loss of a small amount of btc. I do understand that this drug can be used recreationally at low doses, but the majority of the time it is not. What I am trying to say is what is the rebuttal to the argument that not all drugs are used for recreation and therefore should be prohibited? Some are used to rape, poison, torture, etc. We could just say "Oh, well, only some drugs should be legal and regulated," but doesn't that defeat the argument that once drugs are legal and regulated, people can approach them safely? If we went ahead and legalized marijuana, psychedelics, dissociatives, mdma, and just about any other favorable drug without legalizing "life-ruining" drugs like methamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, scopolamine, rufilin, etc., what are we accomplishing? The existence of…

I guess you are right, but seeing as bleach is 99% of the time used for normal purposes, and scopolamine (in its pure form) is widely used for evil purposes, why have it legalized? It doesn't serve us a huge purpose other than for sea sickness. With that said, there are plenty of other chemicals that do the same thing. (Also, it would be incredibly hard to have an unwilling person consume enough alcohol to die.)

What evil purposes are you alluding to? You are regurgitating myth and hearsay. Almost nobody uses Rohypnol in date rape, and scopolamine is almost exclusively used in motion sickness tablets. It's use in MKULTRA can be considered evil, but so could the use of LSD for the same program. Evil people can use anything to be evil. That does not make LSD or scopolamine evil, and should certainly play no role in whether or not they should be legal.
Hell, caffeine is extremely dangerous if you take too much. Does that make it evil? You could die from it very easily. Your assertion that it would be hard for a person to take too much alcohol to die is preposterous! Do you know how dangerous alcohol is? Do you know how dangerous many of the day to day substance you interact with are?
