Inconsistent MDMA experiences

For myself and friends of mine, rolling is a hit or miss, even with the same setting, product, dosage and time interval in between experiences. One time will be really great and memorable and another will be almost "stale" and boring. Has anyone else experienced this or know why this might be?

Mindset is a huge factor. I've had rolls where I was annoyed and not having fun due to the people I was with, or the setting I was in, even though I had an amazing time off the same MDMA months before. You'd be surprised how much your mood going into the roll affects the experience.
Like some have said, there is always the possibility that your MDMA is not good. However, I've had less than stellar experiences off extremely good quality MDMA, simply because of my mood.
