Is there any evidence racetams give the kind of effects people here seem to have?

I have piracetam, phenylpiracetam and alpha-gpc to take with them. I'm very skeptical the cognitive improvements some experience are anything more than a placebo. Examine.com has no studies to back up the effects attributed to racetams. I suppose it's possible the effects are difficult to quantify with a study.
I still take what I have hoping it has a subtle effect I'm not noticing. I doubt I'll buy more after. The new racetams being sold (suniferam and whatnot) makes me think the racetam craze is mostly chemical manufacturers taking advantage of a niche market.
So, any input other than "I took some for the first time and five minutes later everything was sharp and I heard music better and..etc etc." would be much appreciated.

Well that is the goal of my study: to see if people can distinguish between placebo and active racetam. I have most everything capped and ready. However, I am in Colorado right now getting shoulder surgery. I'll be back home on the 24th, and will get things rolling for the study then. Hopefully we can get some good data!
