Examine - Piracetam

A lot of the posts here advocate Piracetam as a nootropic in order to improve memory.
Examine.com is a common site used here to review supplements and people argue it's stringency.
In examine.com review of Piracetam it gave a low review of Piracetam for memory recall. What's up with that?

I understand it's supposed to be a minor effect or none at all. It's just I do a reddit search on Piracetam in the nootropics subreddit and all you see are posts saying stuff along the lines of: "I became a social god.";"I remember things I read and hear once.";"OMG IT CHANGED MY LIFE!".
Just saying there is a huge discrepancy of efficacy compared to what examine.com mention and the posts I see here. Then in the nootropics FAQ it advocates piracetam for long term memory.
I'm not doubting piracetam is a nootropic, but the efficacy has a discrepancy between little in examine.com and glowing reviews here.

Piracetam seems to make many people hypomanic for some reason. That may be why you see glowing reviews. Just because you feel enhanced does not necessarily mean you are enhanced.
Also, some people respond well to it, and other don't respond at all. There is going to be variation in the results.
