MDMA alone has never been shown to be neurotoxic when body temperature is controlled. The only studies that could produce any neurotoxicity were those that either artificially raised body temperature with heat blankets, or with high enough doses to induce thermogenesis. Pairing MDMA with amphetamine is a sure way to induce thermogenesis. The key for MDMA users is to maintain their body temperature and electrolyte levels. Supplementing with antioxidants and magnesium does wonders as well. It's a very simple solution to a very complex set of interactions, who's understanding is still changing.
