What are your best examples of people cheating "the system"? I'll start....

I work in a typical office building, but today I saw something interesting. Lazy Coworker #11 has been leaving around lunch time to go to the gym. Except I had to get something out of my car and I saw her (in her workout clothes) eating out of a tub of fried chicken. I didn't say anything but she walked back in 15 minutes later saying how sore she would be tomorrow. She "works out" everyday. My boss has a policy that if you're going to work out you don't have to clock out, which means Lazy Coworker #11 essentially gets paid to eat fried chicken in a jogging suit in her mini van.

As annoyed as I am, I'm also slightly impressed that she thought of this.

(edit): Front page, AMAZEBALLS! Hahaha, I half expected this thread to get buried deep within the internets. Some of these ideas/stories are scarily brilliant. Reddit, you amaze, bewilder, and terrify me all at once.

(edit 2): over 20,000 comments, I can now die happy

I lived in a trailer park next to a Chuck E Cheese and before they got the shredders, they just threw out the old tickets in trash bags. I'd wait until the shift changed the next day and split the tickets with my friends. Great system.

I worked at Chuck E Cheese, and whenever they made me work the toy counter I would get angry. I was a party host and did large birthday parties, which made mostly tips. So naturally I did not want to be taken from tipped to non-tipped roles. So whenever a kid would come up with like 20 tickets all sad that he did not have more, I would put them in the weight machine and go, "300 tickets." If they had a couple hundred I would say they had a couple thousand. The kid's eyes would light up as he wondered if I was serious. Then I would say, "Go ahead, pick out what you want!" I would do that till the manager would notice I kept handing kids massive prizes. He would get angry and I would tell him to stop putting me there. I knew he smoked weed out by the dumpster on shift, so I would blackmail him into letting it go. What a silly place that was...

Police of Reddit; what is your best "Nope, not worth it" story.

Replying to Xaliver · seriously? This is their job. Why are they so goddamn lazy- drunk drivers are serious dangers. At least the chicago guy had an excuse other than that it was too much bother.

It's current policy in Chicago to not respond to non-violent crimes. There are actually signs in certain parts of the city. Too much violent crime and not enough police to handle it.
