I'm currently unemployed and have no real attachments to where I'm living. Is there a state/area that is doing pretty good economically?

Basically, it wouldn't be too much trouble to pick up and leave. Except I obviously want to go somewhere that isn't hit as hard as the rest of the country. I would even go to Canada or something but I'm assuming citizenship isn't that easy.

Your request is a little vague. Are you a college graduate? What skills do you have? How about experience in a specific field? Some cities have shortages in some sectors, while having high unemployment in others.
