I just went to the pyramids last Friday. I can confirm that the evidence has shown the slave theory to be false. However, now the radicals are protesting in the Tahrir square and the Egyptian museum is closed :-(

I was just there a couple weeks ago. I saw many buildings that were somewhat empty. However, there were always tons of people on the metro and the streets. It's hardly empty as some have stated. It is a gaudy unfriendly
