It's a language setting on facebook, first introduced to celebrate International Talk like a pirate day. You can change to it by going to your settings and changing your language to English (Pirate). You can also do English (Upside Down) if you want ;)

EDIT: oh my...I didn't realize what subreddit this was...

I used it for a few years, but I had to change it eventually. Try setting your privacy (piracy) settings through it! I had no idea what I was allowing or not allowing!
